On a report, you can only add gadgets from the gallery. If you can't see your required gadget in the gallery, at the time of editing or creating your report, consider building your own gadget for the gallery.
Note: This process is different from creating gadgets 'on the fly' when working on your dashboards. Gadgets created within dashboards are saved locally and are not available in the gallery for use on reports.
On dashboards, you can easily create new gadgets on the fly or copy them from another dashboard or report.
To create gadgets that can be found in the gallery
From the menu on the top of the page, click on 'Content' and then on 'Gadgets' to open the gadget builder
Choose a gadget type from the list of gadget types available. Some of the common gadget types are Smart Card, Time Series, Bar and Matrix.
Once you've selected your desired gadget type, fill in the resulting form to build your gadget.
Click 'Create' to save your gadget.
- The newly created gadget can now be accessed from the gallery.
